Nirmala is a B.E and MBA (1999, Topper and Gold Medallist) graduate with two and a half decades of international experience in IT, Consulting and Manufacturing industries. She also has an advanced Business Leadership certification from IIM, Bangalore (2018). She has worked in leadership roles with organisations such as Wipro, Oracle, TAFE and Genpact. She quit her last role as Vice President of Knowledge Transformation Services to become a freelance consultant and entrepreneur. She has been recognized as a KM thought-leader (Top 50) by the World Education Congress, twice in a row, and was featured as a Top 30 Global KM Influencer in Stan Garfield’s KM Chronicles (2019, 2022). She is an inventor and has a US patent on a KM framework and methodology, which was granted to her for the work she did at Wipro. She has worked out of Bangalore, Chennai and UK and has travelled to the US, Singapore and Australia as a consultant/conference speaker. She has authored and presented papers on knowledge management, collaboration, innovation and related areas in several international conferences for the last two decades. Nirmala is a passionate writer and blogger and has been publishing posts and articles since 2001. She wrote and published her first book on human psychology and how it impacts life in 2020, entitled Finding Peace in Parenting, Partnership and Profession. Nirmala firmly believes in the idea of Meraki - bringing one’s heart, mind and soul to one’s work - and loves to make a difference to her audience/. She enjoys influencing people to introspect and discover new knowledge and loves making people laugh.
